Catch The Trade Winds

Buenos Aires is a fantastic city, the landscapes of Patagonia are breathtaking, Chile’s national parks are captivating and New Zealand’s nature and coast lines are unrivaled. But hey: Sydney, I mean S-y-d-n-e-y… Sorry, but you cannot beat Sydney! I stayed there for the first time just after graduation from university some twelve years ago and I had one of the best times of my life back then. So it was obvious to me that to the end of this journey I wanted to go back and visit my former Aussie home stay mum and now friend Beth. It was once again a wonderful stay and we had a lot of fun attending a concert at the Sydney Opera house, driving down the South Coast, visiting the Jenolan Caves or having lunch at the fish market. Buenos Aires ist fantastisch, die Landschaften in Patagonien sind atemberaubend, Chiles National Parks sind hinreissend und Neuseelands Natur und Küsten sind einzigartig. Aber hallo: Sydney, ich meine S-Y-D-N-E-Y… Entschuldigung aber Sydney ist einfach nicht zu schlagen! Zum ersten mal war ich dort vor ca. zwölf Jahren kurz nach meinen Abschluss an der Uni und ich verbrachte dort eine wunderbare Zeit. Deshalb war es für mich klar, dass ich zum Ende dieser Reise zurück nach Sydney wollte, um meine ehemalige Schlummermutter und mittlerweile Freundin Beth erneut zu besuchen. Und es war einmal mehr ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt und wir hatten eine Menge Spass sei es an einem Konzert in der Sydney Oper, während eines Ausfluges entlang der Südküste, beim Besuch der Höhlen von Jenolan oder beim mittlerweile traditionellen Mittagessen am Fischmarkt.
